Chelsea and Ari's gorgeous, lakeside wedding has just recently been featured on the Eventsource blog and are are beyond thrilled!
Their stunning wedding, designed by R5 Event Design and Management, combined traditional and modern nautical elements, while still maintaining an ultra chic city style.
Both the ceremony and reception took place at a private residence overlooking Lake Muskoka, where guests enjoyed delicious treats from Food Dudes, before dancing the night away inside a magnificent white tent laden with cherry blossoms and crystal chandeliers.
The wedding was perfectly captured by Gil Tamin Photography and are thankful to all of the amazing vendors involved!

He put a ring on your finger! Now what?...
Christmas and New Years are the most
popular time of the year to get engaged. So now that you have made it official,
it is time to start planning your big day! Figuring out the next steps and
knowing where to start can be extremely daunting, therefore, we have compiled
some helpful tips to make wedding planning easier:
Step
1: Choose a wedding date
There are many things to consider when
choosing your wedding date. Firstly, decide which season you want to get
married in. If you and your fiancée are snowbirds, having a winter wedding is
beautiful and is much more cost effective. It will also be easier to find the
vendors you want, as winter is considered to be off season for weddings.
However, if you are expecting a lot of out of town guests, be aware that the
weather may affect their travel plans.
Spring and summer are generally the most
popular times of the year to get married. Having an outdoor ceremony and taking
your photos in a park or by the water are ideal, but keep in mind that you may
need to be more flexible with your date, venue and vendors.
Step
2: Think of a budget range
It is important to have a budget range in
mind for your wedding. Choose an ideal amount and an absolute maximum amount
and you will most likely land somewhere in the middle. Make sure to allot 10-15%
of your budget for ‘extras/miscellaneous’ costs, as last minute and unexpected
costs often creep up closer to the wedding date.
Step 3: Compile a rough idea of your guest
list
You do not need to know exact numbers right
away, but it is important to have a rough idea of the amount of guests you will
be expecting. Many venues have a certain maximum capacity or some even have a
minimum guest or spend guarantee. Make sure to speak with your parents to get a
sense of their guest list, as well.
Step
4: Research
Now is the time to start going through your
secret stash of wedding magazines. Flag your favourite dress styles, flower
types and color combinations. Spend some time online as well and start putting
together a Pinterest board. Make sure to take note of things you DO NOT like as
well. You do not need to have every detail worked out, but it is very helpful
to your wedding planner and your vendors, to have some idea of what you are
looking for.
Step
5: Hire a professional wedding planner

Rachel and Jordan’s Wedding-May 12, 2013
Rachel & Jordan

On May 12, 2013, we had the pleasure of working on Rachel and Jordan’s lovely and charming wedding. Both the ceremony and the reception took place at LibertyGrand, in the beautiful Artifacts Room. The amazing staff at Liberty Grand took great care of the entire bridal party during the day and catered to every guest’s whim throughout the evening. All of the florals and décor, including the stunning chuppah (a special canopy used for Jewish ceremonies), were designed and provided by Florence Event Design. The chuppah was especially striking, made entirely of large, white, Chanel inspired silk flowers.
