Shelly and Jon's Beautiful Wedding Day

We had the honour of planning Shelly and Jon’s big day last year! This was a day of fun, love and laughter, as the wedding was filled with colours and music! From the violinist and saxophonist to their amazing DJ this wedding was anything but boring! After seeing the video of the wedding, it brought back so many wonderful memories about this day, that we just had to share it with you!

We couldn’t have done this event without the help of our amazing vendors:

Stephanie and David at Sheraton Parkway Toronto Hotel

Stephanie & David’s wedding at Sheraton Parkway Toronto was an absolute beauty! The grand 500 person wedding had it all: a customized ice bar from the Ice Guys, stunning décor from Royal Orchid Florist, a breathtaking cake from Patricia’s Cake Creations and a one of a kind, edible peach tree from Chef Don at Dessert Trends Bakery.

The couple also had two separate ceremonies; one at a church and a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, which occurred at the Sheraton hotel prior to the reception. The bride wore three different dresses throughout the evening, adding to the glam of the entire event. To personalize their wedding, Stephanie & David incorporated their love of golf into the wedding, by giving away USB keys, in the shape of golf balls, to each of their guests.

We absolutely loved working with Stephanie & David to ensure that their day and the entire planning process was a complete success! We could not have done it without the help of the following amazing vendors:

Decor: Royal Orchid Florist
Photographer: Mango Studios
Videographer: Let Them Eat Cake

Jessica and Tomer's Wedding at Beth Emeth Synagogue

Jessica & Tomer’s wedding was filled with a lot of raw emotion and passion. Tomer is an international soccer player and is often sent abroad for practices and games. Although Jessica joins him as much as she can, the couple often spend weeks or event months apart from each other.

However, having a long distance relationship has not impaired their relationship at all; in fact, it has only strengthened and enriched it. Any one who spends any time with Tomer and Jessica can instantly see how much these two love and cherish each other.

Our favourite wedding detail was the personalized male and female converse shoes worn by the bride and groom for the reception (check out the photo below!)

It was such an honour and privilege to work with the couple and their families to ensure that their special day was a complete success!

As always, a big thank you to all of the incredible vendors involved!:

Laura & Rob's Wedding at The Manor

Working on Laura & Rob’s wedding was extra special for us, as Laura is a fellow sorority sister and friend. Not only that, Laura is also one of the kindest and most philanthropic person we know and it was an absolute pleasure and honour for us to be a part of her most special day.

Laura & Rob wanted each part of their wedding day to be a reflection of their outgoing personalities and fun loving nature. Big & bold pops of purple, bright pink and fuschia adorned each centerpiece, along with lots of different greenery, like moss and ferns. Their chuppah, which was situated outside, in front of a gorgeous lake and vast field, perfectly complimented the whimsical and colourful centerpieces, created by Toronto Florist Shop. As well, the bride’s bouquet, designed by Sweet Woodruff, was a sporadic, yet beautiful blend of different florals, colours and textures.

Our favourite aspects of the wedding were the oversized Love balloons and the bagel bar wedding favour station. Each guest took home a pre-packaged box with bagels from Montreal or Toronto, along with their choice of various spreads, such as peanut butter, cream cheese and nutella. We thought it was such a cute and original idea!

Laura & Rob are truly a match made in heaven and their creative and fun spirit was clearly reflected throughout every aspect of their wedding.

We want to thank all of the amazing vendors involved:

Fall Wedding Ideas

September and October have been a complete whirlwind for us! Wedding season does not end in the summer anymore, as many more couples are choosing to get married in the fall. Autumn brings with it cooler weather and breathtaking scenery as the leaves start to change colour and the city gets overtaken with beautiful pops of red, orange and yellow.

Fall weddings invite couples to be creative with their décor, using more rich and bold colours, such as red, purple and burgundy. Some couples are choosing to use less flowers in their centerpieces and opt for beautiful manzanita or birch branches instead. This helps add to the fall feel and is more cost effective as well. To further compliment the fall theme, couples are also adding freshly picked pumpkins and gourds to the centerpieces or placing them around the venue.

Furthermore, autumn weddings mean that couples can be more creative with their food.  Spiked hot apple cider with cinnamon sticks can be served as a signature drink and chewy caramel apples look amazing as part of a dessert table or a wedding favour. For the wedding cake, traditional white cakes are replaced by decadent dark chocolate cakes or naked cakes, which are inspired by the bare trees of the season.

Finally, the best part of fall weddings are the stunning photos. The gorgeous fall colours provide a dramatic, natural backdrop. As well, rain is no longer a deterrent either, as white and clear umbrellas look super cute in photos.
